DR. SIMON OBWATHO – DEAN OF SCHOOL.

Dean’s Message

Africa Nazarene University Business School (ANUBS) offers responsive, holistic, and dynamic education. Founded on Christian tenets, the school produces astute business leaders and decision makers with good character, market-relevance, competence, and dedication to community service.  We develop individuals who are able to take a leadership role in problem solving and to resonate with thought leadership in the wake of complexity. We transform learners into highly skilled and globally competitive individuals. We create innovative entrepreneurs rather than job hunters.
Through our affordable programs ranging from certificate to PhD, we aspire to be fully proactive in the ever-changing local and global environment and to meet the dynamic needs of all our stakeholders including, but not limited to, our students, faculty and industrial linkage partners. We create an enabling environment where our students are not only free to chart the way with us, but also where the school is consistently responsive to the student.
Besides the face-to-face mode of delivery, ANUBS offers its programs through a well-coordinated online/distance learning mode. Despite the rigor of study, this mode allows students to continue with their demanding, possibly full-time engagement or employment, which may entail substantial local and even international travel. In view of such a landscape, flexibility is indispensable. Furthermore, it is the mainstay for instituting personalized or customized service delivery. Our school offers quality knowledge transfer in an open environment that allows students to easily relate with faculty and staff and to continually discuss their changing needs for general advising and possible adjustments.
We tread an innovative road regarding academic research writing which has been cited as one of the greatest challenges to degree completion globally. Our faculty, using a mentorship philosophy, walk with students step-by-step through a well-designed research writing support criteria. As a result, students not only enjoy going through research writing process, but also generate industry-relevant, problem-solving research output.
To sustain quality, we structure our operations to conform with local and global regulatory standards. We routinely benchmark globally for best practice. Our commitment results in a learning process that is efficient, effective, and enjoyable. We also endeavor to ensure that enrolled students are able to complete their preferred programs without undue hiccups or delays and and therefore graduate on time.
