DIRECTOR’S MESSAGE

EIGHT YEARS: LOOKING BACK, LOOKING FORWARD…
JKUAT Nakuru CBD Campus, will be eight years old in the county of Nakuru. I therefore, fully feel obliged to comment on where we (As JKUAT Nakuru) have come from. Also not forgetting where we are going as a best practice in management.Indeed, as the JKUAT Nakuru campus turns eight, we must celebrate just as much as will plan for the next couple of years, since all successful organizations have a time of reflection and planning. As the leading campus, we need to dig into our archives and call on a wide range of our customers to tell us their experience that illuminate the past, and ones that cast a long shadow on the future.

The campus has expanded its programs base and is now a host to various courses including Commerce, Business Information Technology, Purchasing & Supplies, and Electrical& Civil Engineering. The campus also offers certificate courses and short courses in Purchasing and Supplies, Mathematics among others. Postgraduate courses are also available. The steadfast growth of the campus is attributed to the combined staff marketing approach, which works tirelessly to entice clients. The campus has also developed unique mode of study to cater for the needs of the working class. We opened our doors with only 65 students, many applicants at the time left, because they did not believe. The campus’s student population now stands at over 2000 and to facilitate delivery of the diverse programmes, the campus has 250 full time and part- time lecturers. The administration wing has a staff establishment of about 30. Every staff member understands why he or she is here and that makes my directorial work even easier. As a way of extending and inculcating JKUAT organizational culture, most of the lecturers teaching in the campus are sourced from the various departments at the Juja Campus.

Lastly, I wish to thank all the stakeholders, who have in one way or the other contributed to make us be where we are now. It is my sincere hope that we shall continue to partner in this important endeavor. I welcome all of you to visit our campus situated at Kwanza House. Today however, despite several infrastructural challenges, students can enjoy several facilities such as Internet, Library e-resources, 150 seater Library backed by collaboration with Kenya National Library services (KNLS) and quality Computer Labs. Indeed the Campus is about to unveil a number of innovative programs in the 8th year anniversary. Welcome to enroll for a course of your choice.
