This is a non-resident 3 year course that enables all cadres of diploma nurses i.e. those with KRN, KRCHN, KRM or KRPN qualifications to upgrade to the level of Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSCN).
The programme runs for 5 semesters. In each semester 70-80% of the learning activities are off campus. 
  • Semester one –  Pre-clinical and Behavioural Sciences

  • Semester two –  Clinical Sciences  I

  • Semester three – Clinical Sciences  II

  • Semester four –  Community  and  Midwifery Sciences

  • Semester five – Specialised nursing  sciences and research project

 

Admission Requirements

  • A diploma in Nursing KRCHN, KRN and KRM) or its equivalent from a recognised institution
  • A mean grade of C plain in KCSE or its equivalent with a C plain in English or Kiswahili.

  • KCE/EACE Division II plus a Diploma in nursing and a pass in English or Kiswahili

  • A minimum of 2 years working experience in a relevant setting after attainment of the Diploma in Nursing

  • A valid Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) License
