ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR SOME COURSES AT EAST AFRICAN  SCHOOL OF AVIATION

The Executive MBA (Aviation Option)

Entry Requirements

Applicants must have a working experience of at least five years (post-qualification) in a senior management level; PLUS

  • A degree in any discipline from a recognized university OR
  • A CPA (K)/ CPS (K) certificate or equivalent OR
  • A Higher National Diploma in Business studies (KNEC) or its equivalent professional certificate , that is,
  • An ATPL license with at least 5 years working    experience
  • Licenses of Aircraft Maintenance Engineers  with 10 years working experience
  • Air Traffic Controllers with three OR four ratings, pus seven and five years’ experience respectively

 Emergency Response Planning and Crisis Management in Aviation

Entry Requirements

  • Participants should have prior knowledge of airport operations
  • Recommended level is Intermediate
  • The recommended level of language proficiency is ICAO Operational Level 4 for courses in English or the equivalent level for other languages.

AVSEC INSTRUCTOR

Entry Requirements

  • Proficiency in English language

DME CONCEPTS

Entry Requirements

  • Diploma in electrical and electronics engineering OR
  • Degree in electrical and electronics engineering and
  • Three years’ experience in relevant field
  • Have undergone ATSEP phase 1 training

VOR CONCEPTS

Entry Requirements

  • Diploma in electrical and electronics engineering OR
  • Degree in electrical and electronics engineering and
  • Three years’ experience in relevant field
  • Have undergone ATSEP phase 1 training

ILS CONCEPTS

Entry Requirements

  • Diploma in electrical and electronics engineering OR
  • Degree in electrical and electronics engineering and
  • Three years’ experience in relevant field
  • Have undergone ATSEP phase 1 training

BACHELOR OF CIVIL AVIATION MANAGEMENT

Entry Requirements

Applicants must have

  • At at least a C+ in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education. In addition, must have at least a C in either Mathematics or Business Studies or Accounting or commerce or economics and a C in either English or Kiswahili OR
  • A Diploma in Business Management from an institution recognized by Moi University Senate

Basic X- Ray Operation

Entry Requirements

  • There are no prerequisites for this course
  • Recommended level is Entry-level
  • The recommended level of language proficiency is ICAO Operational Level 4 for courses in English or the equivalent level for other languages

ICAO SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS FOR PRACTITIONERS (ICAO SMSXP)

Entry Requirements

  • Proficiency in English language
  • Certificate in Safety Management Systems

EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLANNING AND CRISIS MANAGEMENT IN AVIATION

Entry Requirements
  • Participants should have prior knowledge of airport operations
  • Recommended level is Intermediate
