Course Overview
The program is designed to provide a solid foundation in metal processing technology for iron, steel, aluminum and other non-ferrous industrial metals. At the conclusion of the program, students are required to complete three (3) months industrial attachment. The college has partnered with several relevant companies to ensure every student benefit from this experience, and enters the marketplace fully prepared for a career in the various metal processing plants in the region.
Course Structure
A non-modular program examined by CITY & GUILDS (United Kingdom). Diploma Level 2 (Certificate) is divided into nine (9) units, requiring a total of 500 lecture and practice hours. A minimum KCSE overall Grade of D- (Minus) or equivalent, with passes in mathematics and any science subject is required to enroll in the program. Examinations can be taken as single units based on City & Guilds Examination schedule. At the conclusion of the program, students are required to complete three (3) months industrial attachment and an internal research project.
