This is a one year course, whose objective is to equip students with knowledge, skills and experience in the basic principles of counseling and integrate these principles with other counseling knowledge in practice. The following modules/units will be covered include;
SEMESTER ONE

CCSE 3603: Information Communication Technology
CCSE 3604: Introduction To Psychology
CCSE 3605: Counselling Process & Practice
CCSE 3606: Social Research Methods.
CCSE 3607: Theories Of Counselling
CCSE 3606: Personal Development
SEMESTER TWO
CCSE 3609: Human Growth & Development
CCSE 3610: Sociology
CCSE 3611: Professional Studies
CCSE 3612: Counselling Children, Youth & Adults
CCSE 3613: Social Deviation And Rehabilitation
CCSE 3614: Psychology Of Personality
CCSE 3615: Project (Not Teachable But Supervisory Unit)
CCSE 3616: Counselling Practicum
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum qualifications are KCSE D or KCE Div. 2 or the equivalent
- Course open to Beginners, Community development workers, Welfare officers and Fresh students
