KISWCD TTC Certificate in Primary Teacher Education Course

CERTIFICATE IN PRIMARY TEACHER EDUCATION (P1)This course trains students to become primary school teachers. These teachers are usually referred to as P1 teachers. It is also a bridge to pursue higher courses like Degree in Education and eventually Masters and Doctorate in Education.

The course covers comprehensive training in Languages, Basic Mathematics, Children Development, Human and Child Rights, Psychology and Administration geared towards the primary school curriculum delivery.

The course is examined by Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC).

Academic Requirements: KCSE Grade C (Plain)

Mode of Study: Fulltime Classes: 8am – 4pm

In-service: April, August and December

Timing: Duration: The course takes 2 years (6 terms) to complete.

Intakes:  January, May, September
