ICT department besides being an admitting department, it also extends its services to the entire College. All students who enter the College gate must learn some form of computer literacy irrespective of their area of specialties. The department also prepares candidates for Diploma in Information Communication Technology, Computer Studies, and certificate in Information Technology at KNEC level as well as Certified Information and Communication Technology course offered by KASNEB. The department has consistently improved its pass rates in National Exams and especially commend DICT Module III for their exemplary performance where all the July 2016 class candidates had DISTINCTION PASS. Currently the department is working with Centum Learning Limited to run a digital skills course for all the students in the institute. This will prepare the students live in the digital world. In its endeavours to improve teaching facilities, the institute has acquired one smart board. This will go a long way to enhance ICT integration and make teaching and learning enjoyable. In extracurricular activities, the students in the department have been very active a number of them represented the region in the annual Science Week at KICC in May and performed very well. The department maintains the Local Area Network (LAN) and a wireless network to enhance internet connectivity. It also supports other departments in the College in their communication and ICT integration needs. ICT equipment such as laptops and LCD projectors are available for borrowing by the lecturers for use in class. We are particularly proud of our graduates, many of whom are leaders in Academia, Industry and Government.
