1. KCSE Mean grade of C+ (Plus) and at least C (Plain) in English/Kiswahili and Mathematics or Business Studies or Commerce at KCSE OR
2. Two Principal passes and one Subsidiary pass at A-level plus at least a pass in Mathematics and English at O level OR
3. Two year Diploma holders in a business related discipline from a recognized institution OR

1. KCSE Mean grade of C+ (Plus) and at least C (Plain) in English/Kiswahili and Mathematics or Business Studies or Commerce OR
2. Two Principal passes and one subsidiary pass at A-level plus at least a pass in Mathematics and English at O level OR
3. Two year ordinary Diploma in Hotel Management from a recognized institution.

• KCSE Mean grade of C+ and at least C (Plain) in English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Economics/Commerce/Business Studies OR
• Two principal passes at A-level OR
• Diploma in Agriculture, or related disciplines from a recognized institution

• KCSE Mean grade of C+ with a C (plain) in Mathematics or Physics, B- in Biology/Agriculture and C+ in Chemistry OR
• A mean grade of C+ in KCSE with a C (plain) in Mathematics or Physics, B- in Biological Sciences and C+ in Physical Sciences OR
• Two principal passes at A- level and subsidiary pass
• Diploma in Agriculture or related disciplines from a recognized institution

• A minimum Mean Grade of C+ and above in KCSE and C+ in any two science subjects relevant to the area of study, OR
• 2 principals and subsidiary pass at A level in science subject, OR
• KNEC Diploma in Science/Applied Sciences or its equivalent from recognized institutions

• The applicant must have attained a minimum mean grade of C+ (plus) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education. (KSCE)
• In addition, they must obtain at least the minimum cut-off points for the respective academic years as determined from the specified subject clusters draw from the original Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education structure. The candidate must have passes in the subject clusters indicated below:

Admission Requirements for Up-Grading Applicants

• Applicants in this category must have a Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from approved training institutions and they must be duly registered with the Clinical Officers’ Council.
• They must have had a mean grade of ‘C’ (plain) in KSCE or its equivalent from any training institution recognized by the Clinical Officers Council, including those trained outside Kenya. University Of Kabianga Admission Requirements
• Applicants in possession of Higher Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery in any are of specialization recognized by the Clinical Officers’ Council may be given credit transfer of three (3) units in their areas of specialization, subject to production of satisfactory evidence of having done and passed examinations in the respective higher diploma speciality areas. • Request for exemption shall be made in writing, on admission, and must be accompanied by officially endorsed supportive documents, including the course outline for the relevant course(s) unit(s).

University of Kabianga Senate reserves the right to administer an appropriate test, through the relevant department in order to decide whether or not an exemption should be granted.

• Mean grade of C+ (plus) in KCSE with at least C+ in Mathematics, Physics or Physical Sciences, OR
• 2 Principal passes, one of which must be in Mathematics or Physics at A level, OR
• KNEC Diploma in Computer Studies or equivalent from recognized institution.

• KCSE Mean grade of C+ with a at least C in English, Mathematics, Biology and in any one of the following: Physics, Chemistry and Geography OR
• Two (2) principal passes and a subsidiary at A-Level from the following subjects: English, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and Geography
• Two year Diploma in Agroforestry/Forestry or related field from a recognized institution.

1. A minimum KCSE mean grade of C+ and at least a C or C+ for each cluster subject for undergraduate programmes;
2. An ordinary diploma with a credit or distinction in a relevant discipline and offered by an institution recognized by the University senate; or
3. A higher national diploma with a credit or distinction in a relevant discipline and offered by an institution recognized by the University senate.

• A minimum Mean Grade of C+ in KCSE and a C+ in any tow science subjects relevant to the area of study, OR
• 2 Principals and subsidiary pass at A – level in Science subjects OR
• KNEC Diploma in Sciences/Applied Sciences or its equivalent from recognized Institutions.

• A minimum Mean Grade of C+ in KCSE with at least a C+ in Mathematics, English/Kiswahili, Chemistry, Biology (C+) OR
• “A” Level with 2 principal pass and 2 subsidiaries.

1. Mean grade of C+ (Plus) at KCSE and at least C in English/Kiswahili and Mathematics or Business Studies or Commerce OR
2. Two Principal passes and one subsidiary pass at A-level plus at least a pass in Mathematics and English at O level OR
3. Two year ordinary Diploma in Tourism Management from a recognized institution.

1. Minimum grade of D+ (Plus) at KCSE level
2. Any other certificate awarded by an institution recognized by University of kabianga Senate

1. A mean grade of C (plain) in KCSE with at least C (plain) in English/Kiswahili and Biology/Biological Science,
2. A minimum pass of C- (minus) in either of the following: – Chemistry, Maths or Physics/Physical Sciences, & Building Construction Technical Drawing.

1. Minimum grade of C (Plain) at KCSE Level with at least D+ in English/Kiswahili
2. A-level qualifications with at least subsidiary pass or any other certificate awarded by University of Kabianga Senate or KNEC

1. KCSE mean grade of C- (minus), with at least a C- in English/Kiswahili and Mathematics/Physics; OR
2. A certificate in one of the information sciences’ disciplines, with distinction or credit, obtained from a reputable institution; OR
3. An equivalent alternative qualification to those mentioned above e.g. KCE (Div.III) or KACE with at least one principal pass.

• Bachelors Degree in Kiswahili or Education, Second class honours (Upper Division) from a recognized institution, OR
• Bachelors Degree in Kiswahili or Education (Second class Lower Division) with two years teaching experience

• • Be a holder of a degree at the level of bachelors with at least Second Class honours, Upper division in any discipline from University of Kabianga or any other institution recognized by the University Senate.

or

• Be a holder of a degree at the level of a Bachelors’ with Second Class honours, Lower division in any discipline from University of Kabianga or any other institution recognized by the University Senate provided the candidate has two (2) years experience in a relevant field.

Credit Transfer from other institutions of higher learning Applicants who have completed equivalent Masters course units other than MBA executive at other Senate recognized universities may, with the approval of the Senate be allowed to transfer credits up to 49 percent of required course units into their programme. The normal admission process shall apply.

• The Common regulations for the Masters degree of University of Kabianga apply.
• First class or second class upper division in Environmental studies or allied from a recognized University.
• Second class honours lower division with at least two years relevant working experience.

• At least a BSc. Second Class Honours (Upper Division) or its equivalent in Agriculture or other related disciplines, from recognized universities OR
• Holders of BSc. Second Class Honours (Lower Division) degree from a recognized University with relevant post-graduate diploma or research experience as evidenced by at least one published paper in a refereed journal, or at least two published papers in a workshop proceeding, or three years relevant experience will be considered for admission.
• Prospective candidates may be required to appear for interview in order to establish their suitability for the programme.

• • A holder of Bachelors degree with at least Second Class Honours (Upper Division), having majored in Applied Mathematics at the University of Kabianga or any other University recognized by UoK Senate.

OR

• A holder of Bachelors degree with Second Class Honours (Lower Division), having majored in Applied Mathematics at the University of Kabianga or any other University recognized by UoK Senate. In addition, the candidate should have at least TWO years relevant work experience since graduation.

• The Common regulations for the Masters degree of University of Kabianga apply
• Holders of 1st class or upper 2nd class in Forestry. Agroforestry, or Biological Sciences from a recognized University
• Fields other than forestry will be required to satisfy pre-requisites to the postgraduate courses in forestry
• Those with 2nd class honours lower division with at least two years relevant working experience

• • A holder of Bachelors degree with at least Second Class Honours (Upper Division) having majored in Pure Mathematics at the University of Kabianga or any other University recognized by UoK Senate.

OR

• A holder of Bachelors degree with Second Class Honours (Lower Division), having majored in Pure Mathematics at the University of Kabianga or any other University recognized by UoK Senate. In addition, the candidate should have at least TWO years relevant work experience since graduation.

• Masters Degree in Kiswahili from a recognized Institution of higher learning, OR
• Masters degree in Linguistics, or Education with strong backgrounds in Kiswahili
