Minimum entry grade is C+ in each of the required subjects but JAB decides the minimum entry requirement each year based on general performance in KSCE.

6.1    Part I
 
(a)        Except where specified each course shall be examined by a written paper.  The duration of a full course paper shall be 3 hours and that of a half course paper shall be 2 hours.
(b)       Written examinations shall constitute 70% of the final marks in each course while the continuous assessment shall constitute the remaining 30%.
(c)        The final assessment shall be based on the final examination continuous assessment and/or coursework.
(d)       The pass mark for each course shall be 50%.
(e)        A candidate who fails in one full course or the equivalent with a mark of 40-49% may on the recommendation of the Board of Examiners and approval by Senate be allowed to sit a supplementary examination in the failed course within 3 months.
(f)         A candidate who fails in the supplementary examination will be discontinued.
(g)        A candidate who fails in one full course or the equivalent with a mark of 39% or below at the ordinary University examination will be discontinued.
 
6.2            Part II
 
Candidates will be required to submit for examination, a thesis on the approved topic in accordance with the Common Regulations for the Masters Degrees in all Faculties.

General Regulations View Details
1. In interpreting the course codes, after FCE the first integer denotes the year of study. The second integer denotes as far as is possible, the subject area while the last integer denotes the semester in which the course is taught; 1 for the first and 2 for the second semester. Where the last integer is 0 it means that this is a course which is taught throughout the two semesters such as the Engineering Project in the fifth year of study.
2. Each semester course, with the exception of structural design, shall have a total of 45 contact hours including lectures and tutorials and shall comprise one course unit.
3. There shall be a practical assignment term lasting for eight weeks at the end of the third year of study.
4. The undergraduate students shall complete the following course units.
