Entry Requirements
I. DIPLOMA IN TECHNICAL EDUCATION – 1 YEAR (4 TERM) COURSES
a) Institutional Management (Foods & Beverages)
Entry Requirements:
KCSE ‘C’ Plain or equivalent plus the Diploma/TEP Diploma from recognized institutions.
b) Institutional Management (Clothing Technology)
Entry Requirements:
KCSE ‘C’ Plain or equivalent plus the Diploma/TEP from recognized institutions in Clothing Technology.
c) Computer Studies
Entry Requirements:
KCSE ‘C’ Plain or equivalent plus a KNEC Diploma in Computer Studies or Information Technology.
d) Building Construction /Civil Engineering/Water Engineering/Quantity Survey/Architecture
Entry Requirements:
KCSE ‘C’ Plain or equivalent with good passes in Mathematics, English and science subjects plus ordinary Diploma/TEP Diploma in Building Construction /Civil Engineering/Water Engineering/Quantity Survey/Architecture.
Technical subjects taken at KCSE will be an added advantage.
e) Electrical Engineering
Entry Requirements:
KCSE ‘C’ Plain or equivalent plus Diploma in Electronics/Electrical Engineering. Preference will be given to holders of Higher Diploma in Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
TSC employees will have an added advantage.
f) Secretarial
Entry Requirements:
KCSE ‘C’ Plain or equivalent with good passes in English plus: KNEC Stage II passes in Commerce, Office Practice and Secretarial Duties. KNEC Stage III passes in Shorthand, Typing, Office Management & Business English.
g) Business Administration
Entry Requirements:
KCSE ‘C’ Plain or equivalent with good passes in English Maths plus Diploma in Business Administration from a recognized institutions.
Holders of Higher Diploma in Business Administration will have an added advantage.
h) Accounting
Entry Requirements:
KCSE‘C’ Plain or equivalent plus C.P.A II or Diploma in Accounting.
i) Co-operative Management
Entry Requirements:
KCSE ‘C’ Plain or equivalent with good passes in English, Maths plus Diploma in Co-operative Management from recognized institutions.
j) Supplies Management
Entry Requirements:
KCSE ‘C’ Plain or equivalent with good passes in English, Maths plus Diploma in Purchasing & Supplies Management from recognized institutions.
k) Mechanical Engineering (Automotive and Production)
Entry Requirements:
1)KCSE ‘C+’ or equivalent
2)Diploma or Higher Diploma in Automotive Engineering or
3)Diploma or Higher Diploma in Production Engineering or
4)Technician III (either Automotive or Production Engineering).
l) Information Studies
Entry Requirements:
KCSE ‘C’ Plain or equivalent plus Diploma in Information Studies from recognized institutions.
II. DIPLOMA IN INFORMATION STUDIES (Six Term Course –
[FULL TIME] September, 2013 Admissions
Entry Requirements:
KCSE(C-), with C- in English/Kiswahili and any other Social Science OR Craft Course in Information Science/Studies.
III. DIPLOMA IN INFORMATION STUDIES AUGUST, 2013 (SCHOOL-BASED) admissions.
Entry Requirements:
KCSE(C-), with C- in English/Kiswahili and any other Social Science OR Craft Course in Information Science/Studies.
NOTE: CANDIDATES TO INDICATE OPTION APPLIED FOR.
IV. DIPLOMA IN SALES & MARKETING (MODULAR) January, 2014 admissions
Entry Requirements:
KCSE Mean grade C with minimum of Grade C- in Mathematics and English. Passed relevant craft course in Sales and Marketing.
V. DIPLOMA IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP (SCHOOL-BASED) August, 2013 admissions.
Entry Requirements:
KCSE Minimum C Plain in English, Kiswahili and any Social Science OR
Relevant Craft course in Business Administration OR equivalent qualifications as determined by KNEC.
VI. DIPLOMA IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING PRODUCTION/AUTOMOTIVE OPTION) 3 YEAR PROGRAMME Modular September, 2013 Admissions
Entry Requirements:
KCSE ‘C’ plain and above with minimum of C+ grade in Mathematics, Physics and English.
VII. DIPLOMA IN INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY
JANUARY 2014 ADMISSIONS – 2 YEARS

VIII. DIPLOMA IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING (POWER) FULL TIME
