DEPARTMENTAL BACKGROUND INFORMATION

The Department of Hospitality and Consumer Services started from a humble background offering Certificate in food and beverage program only. It has since grown to offer 7 registered courses from Artisan to Diploma level. The student enrolment has grown to over 300 students.
Workshops and facilities in the department have been upgraded with time in order to offer competent skill-based training. This has led to an increase in student performance in the department.

Career Progressions

The trainees who undertake the certificate courses are tested in 2 Modules thereafter they join the Diploma course at Module II.
Diploma trainees have 3 modules after which they can either pursue a higher national diploma or proceed to university for a degree.
