Introduction

Africa in general and Kenya in particular has been plagued with major developmental challenges including (but not limited to) poverty, population pressure, HIV/AIDs, youth unemployment, environmental degradation, climate change, and persistent conflicts at various levels.
The faculty of Social Sciences, which was established in 2012, aims at making a significant contribution towards addressing the above mentioned challenges through quality training of personnel as well as informing policy formulation through evidence-based research output.
