Applications are invited from qualified applicants for the following Programmes which will be offered in various campuses as indicated, under Full – Time, Part- Time (Evening and Weekend) modes of study in the Academic Year 2023/2023, beginning September, 2023. Minimum Entry Requirements

A holder of a Bachelor of Arts, Science or Bachelor of Education with at least Upper Second Class Honours and has studied Geography as either a major or regular subject at degree level or its equivalent. Kenyatta University September Intake Postgrad

A holder of a Lower Second Class degree may be admitted provided the candidate can show proven evidence of research ability and on condition that they have Grade “C” and above in units relevant to their areas of specialization. Kenyatta University September Intake Postgrad

A Holder of Higher Diploma (HND) with proven research experience and upon passing a qualifying examination for the MSc under SPAS. Kenyatta University September Intake Postgrad

The general regulations of Masters degree in the School of Pure and Applied Sciences shall apply.

 

The following shall be eligible for registration in the Master of Science in Applied coastal and Marine Resource Management.

a)       A holder of a Bachelor of Science degree with at least an upper 2 nd class honors with Zoology or Botany as a single subject or as one of the two (2) Science subjects.

b)       A holder of a Bachelor of Education degree who has studied Zoology or Botany to degree level and has attained an Upper Second Class Honours.

c)       A holder of a Bachelor degree in any other relevant areas of study such as Geography and Environment with at least an Upper 2nd Class Honours degree and has taken units related to marine Science

Duly completed forms should be returned to the Registrar (Academic), Kenyatta University P.O. Box 43844 – 00100, NAIROBI, Kenya on or before the deadline. Copies of relevant professional and academic certificates and transcripts, Two (2) I’x1’ passport size photos and original application fee receipt, MUST be attached to the application form.

 

NB: ‘O’ Level Certificate must be attached: Those with Grade C (Plain) at K.C.S.E must have a Diploma and those with C – (Minus) must have a Certificate and a Diploma.
