ECDE Proficiency Certificate Course

The entry requirement is

  • KCPE certificate
  • KCSE Mean grade D plain and below

 

Certificate in Early Childhood Development and Education ECDE Course

Academic Requirements:

  • KCSE Grade D+ (Plus)
  • Or Proficiency Certificate in ECDE or equivalent qualifications.

Mode of Study: Fulltime

In-service: April, August and December

Certificate in Primary Teacher Education Course

Academic Requirements: KCSE Grade C (Plain)

Mode of Study: Fulltime Classes: 8am – 4pm

In-service: April, August and December

Timing: Duration: The course takes 2 years (6 terms) to complete.

Intakes: January, May, September

 

Diploma in Early Childhood Development and Education ECDE Course

KISWCD TTC Diploma in Special Needs Education Course

Minimum Qualifications

  • Holder of P1 Teacher Training Certificate by training with a minimum of 2 years teaching experience.
  • Holder of P1 Teacher Certificate through promotion by the Ministry of Education after passing through the Teacher Proficiency Course (TPC) course.
  • Holder of Certificate Course in ECDE from KNEC or Ministry of Education DICECE certificate with at least D+ in KCSE or its equivalent and at least 2 years teaching experience.

ARTS
Mean KCSE C + and Above
C+ in 2 teaching Subjects (Subject choices)
C Plain English
D+ in Mathematics

SCIENCE
Mean KCSE C + and Above
C+ in 2 Teaching Subjects ( Subject choices)

C Plain in Mathematics
Mode of Study: Fulltime Classes: 8am – 4pm

In-service: April, August and December

Duration: The course takes 3 Years (9 terms) to complete.

Intakes: January, May, September
