About KMTC Department of Health Records and I.T
At the KMTC department of health records and information, our aim is to provide a strong foundation for our students.
Having been in existence since 1978 when the department was established at KMTC Nairobi, the department has a long history of excellence in the training of competent professionals in this field.
At the department, our students are taught the importance of keeping records for continuity of patient care/ treatment, evaluation of patient care, monitoring and evaluation of health systems and for medico legal purposes.
Over the years, the department has experienced exponential growth with the number of students admitted to the course increasing from year to year. Today, you are certain to find our graduates working in every part of this country. Owing to our long history and the highly qualified lecturers at the department, our graduates know the inner workings of patient record management systems. As a matter of fact, our graduates have often set the industry standards.
