About KMTC Department of Nutrition
The mandate of the KMTC department is to help Kenyans and indeed the world learn how to prevent diseases by not only eating healthy but also the use of food as alternative medicine.
How do we do this? We train our students on how to educate the community on matters nutrition to alleviate the problems of malnutrition and its devastating consequences on vulnerable groups. It our belief that there is need for quality and development of competent Community Nutritionists who will contribute to the general well-being and improved quality of the life of individuals, families and communities by identifying and promoting affordable and accessible nutrition practices, technologies and interventions.
When you join us, you will be joining a department that has excelled in training community nutritionists since 1967. You will join a department committed to ending malnutrition and other diseases occasioned by poor eating habits one person at a time.
We are passionate about food and we are passionate about helping people understand food and eat right. That is why we are so good at what we do and we welcome you to join us in our endeavor to help the world understand nutrition.
